The trial of Nigeria Instagram celebrity, Ramoni Abbas, commonly known as Hushpuppi, has been moved to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is contained in the chamber’s orders by Judge Otis Wright. His trial will now resume by 9:00 a.m. on May 4, 2021.
Recall that last month, new evidence was submitted against the alleged internet fraudster.
The 37-year-old is facing four-count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracies, international money laundering, and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity.
He was arrested months ago in Dubai alongside his friend Woodberry and others, and they were taken to the U.S. for prosecution.
